About

“I Can Still Do That” is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to help put America back to work and to make it more productive and “Green” (environmentally conscious) for the next generation. The foundation was launched in 2009 in New York City after the economic crash took hold. We are continually seeking funding and grant opportunities to move forward with our programs.

Our Advisors are Human Resource, Technology and Life Coaching experts who work individually or in-group sessions, both on-line and in person, with employees who are desirous of having the skills to survive, prosper and advance. We aim to utilize their expertise and deliver programs and events to kick start the new economy.

How We Got Here

Even before the current economic climate, it had become reasonably customary that an employee would change jobs and or careers at least a half dozen times during their normal work life. This dynamic is significantly different from the previous generations and therefore individuals must prepare themselves for this new challenge. Based on this, individuals must constantly expand their knowledge, abilities and skills in order to make them more marketable. This includes understanding the evolutionary nature of a resume, improving interviewing skills and possessing job search strategies in order to increase their competitive advantage. Part of the career transition process is also empowering dislocated workers who are in need of the guidance and wherewithal to survive in this unstable work environment.

Our multi-platform program will include mentoring programs, beginning with “Women Mentor Women” and live networking events, called “First Mondays,” where we discuss pressing economic and workforce issues. We are constantly seeking “success stories”, through interactive blogs and vlogs, to publicize and promote, as part of the Positive Attitude component of our program.
