Kudos to Advisor Joe Searles, Esq. for his mention as a “maverick” on this month’s NFL Player’s Association website (see: nflplayersassociation.com)

Celeste Beatty was interviewed this past Sunday in the NY Daily News. Celeste, the head brewer of the Harlem Brewing
Company, knows firsthand how good food and drink can contribute to a community.
The former uptown girl, who now lives in Jamaica, Queens,
launched her dream career when she started brewing beer 12 years ago. Now she’s
hoping her hops will add a fresh flavor to her old neighborhood.

Friends and Advisors,
Thanks to the help of “Mutual Mentor” Jake Lazarowitz, we will be mentioned in the November issue of “More” Magazine (www.more.com), a magazine geared toward women over 40. It’s our first media mention and we are hoping it leads to “more” exposure. And a thank you to 3rd year law student and “Mutual Mentor” Jill Markowitz, our film and video editor, for her continuing efforts on our website. We will soon have two new webinars and videos posted.
Hopefully the magazine will be on the streets in time for our November 2nd “First Mondays” event at B. Smith’s NY (www.bsmith.com) at 320 West 46th Street. We are looking for a “celebrity bartender” if anyone knows one.
Don’t forget to please bring friends to the next First Mondays on Sept. 14th at the Parlour, 250 West 86th Street (see: www.firstmondays.com). It will be a wonderful evening of networking and fun with 1/2 price Sugar Hill Ales from Harlem Brewing Company.
Advisor Jack Gindi, of Siren Films, will be directing a show called “On Becoming” at the Cherry Lane in the Village. It plays from September 23-26 and we would love to see you all there.
Also, “What’s Your Sign?” – the film Jack wrote and directed will be available November 24th, 2009 on Amazon and NetFlix. The cast includes Judy Kuhn, Artie Lange (The Howard Stern Show) and Susie Essman (Curb Your Enthusiasm). So save it on your NetFlix queue!
Discount tickets are still available for
the Oct. 5th Gala for the Giulio Gari Foundation (www.giuliogari.org).
The event will feature some of the best new voices in international Opera
(ages 21-35) and will be at the beautiful NYAC. Let’s try to organize a
table or 2 of our Advisors.
